Ava has been lovingly created from the ADORABLE, LTD EDITION, RAVEN. Sculpt by the very talented sculptor PING LAU. Ava has been painted over several days with many thin, translucent layers of Genesis Heat Set paints to achieve her very true to life skin tones.

With subtle veining and baby Mottling she looks very real. I have gently opened Ava's nose and backed it with dark felt to achieve the illusion of depth. She has ADORABLE detailed little fingers and toes which have also had a lot of attention to detail, in fact not one crease has been missed from head to toe. Ava has Full arms and legs and a Quality, suede body which is proportioned perfectly for her and can be posed into many lifelike positions. Her body has been filled with Heavy Virgin fibre fill and small sealed pouches of tiny steel balls to create a realistic weight.

Her arms and legs have been filled and weighted with Micro Fine glass beads and topped with Virgin fibre fill. Her head has a fabulous "Flop Factor" and needs to be supported when holding her. Ava does not have a tummy plate.

Ava's hair has been directionaly painted and textured with multy shades of brown with many layers of tiny thin hairs, which creates a beautiful head of hair with a fabulous swirling crown. It looks very real and will never look untidy. Ava has stunning blue glass eyes, which really sparkle and will melt your heart.

She has "barely there" eyebrows that most babies have, they are not dark and thick and obvious, they are just visible, just enough. I only use the best quality materials available to make my babies and never rush any of the processes, this is why it takes so long to create each little darling. None of my photographs have been altered in any way. Unfortunately it is very dark at this time of year in the UK so her photographs aren't as perfect as she is to the naked eye.

I live in Lincolnshire with my husband and 2 beautiful sons. I discovered reborning after watching a programme on Channel 4, until then I had never heard of Reborn dolls. I decided to have a go at it as I was looking for a hobby and I absolutely loved it, found I was pretty good at it and have never looked back. In 2011 I reborned my very 1st PROTOTYPE baby for the wonderful sculptor Adrie Stoete, that was such an honour!!

AND the following year I made it to the FINALS for a COLLIII AWARD!!! This was just amazing and a real honour to have been chosen from all the babies entered in this International competition!! I have since done a few Prototypes For Adrie Stoete, Eva Brilli , Heike Kolpin and Laura Tuzio-Ross.
