All of his pictures were taken in natural light. Some of them are poor quality, and I apologize for that. I'm not great with a camera. What a truly adorable baby Maike by Gudrun Legler is! Maike's Limited Edition has been set at 1234 Worldwide. Maike is an heirloom quality art doll.

He's not intended to be a play doll and shouldn't be given to young children. Maike was painted with "Real Effects" Air Dry Paints. I have been painting child portraits for several decades and Acrylic is my preferred medium. These paints won't wear off.

He's been sealed with matte varnish. His lovely, multi-layered skin tone is permanent. He has beautiful mottling and tiny veins just beneath his skin like a real newborn. No detail has been overlooked from his sweet lips to his delicate toes. His nails have been painted to look like freshly clipped baby nails, and his nose has been shaded for depth instead of opened. His brown hair has been carefully rooted 1-2 strands at a time with premium mohair. Maike has been weighted with poly-fil, poly pellets, and fine glass beads in his body, limbs, and head. No sand is ever used in my babies.

Weighing in around 6 pounds he feels just like a real baby when you pick him up. He is a real delight to hold. His head must be supported, and he just melts in your arms. He wears newborn sized infant clothing, and he looks adorable in a variety of outfits. He has three-quarter arms and full legs and a doe suede jointed body.

He will come with two outfits. Balance is due upon completion. I will send you multiple pictures of your finished baby. Feel free to ask any questions!
